Phone Booth Fighting

Phone Booth Fighting is a twice weekly podcast hosted by two time UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir and mixed martial arts commentator/comedian Richard Hunter.  The show focuses on mixed martial arts, widely recognized as one of the fastest growing sports in the world. The show has gained a loyal following with both terrestrial and on line audiences. Many of the biggest names in mixed martial arts including top UFC stars make regular appearances on Phone Booth Fighting, often referencing the show as one of their favorites. While the show centers on professional MMA, Frank and Richard share a common intellectual curiosity, and their passion for knowledge frequently expands the show’s themes into issues of entertainment, politics, and current events. Two-Time UFC Heavyweight Champion

Frank Mir is the longest tenured fighter in the UFC, having debuted with the organization fifteen years ago.  A black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, the future hall of famer is widely considered to be the greatest submission specialist in heavyweight history. Mir is a lifelong resident of Las Vegas where he lives with his wife and three children.


Radio Host / Standup Comedian

Richard Hunter is a veteran MMA commentator, radio personality and comedian.  His relationship with the UFC dates back a decade to UFC 66, and he has been a fixture on The Octagon’s press row ever since.  Hunter began his radio career in 2000 in his hometown of Dallas, Texas.  He is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and the Reno News and Review named him their funniest comedian of 2014 and 2015.  Hunter is a vegan and very active in the animal rescue community.
